What an absolute honor it has been to be a citizen of this country while you have been our leaders. I believe…as it is our right to have our own interpretation… The fortitude you have exemplified over this period in our democracy has been nothing short of stellar. Your compassion and emotional intelligence has nurtured us all and made us better individuals. I believe our young people for generations will look back on your merits and the incredible feats you accomplished amidst such fierce animosity and be supremely proud. When thrown every curve ball imaginable, your course of action was to meet every seeming obstacle head on. To risk- for what you believe in. To be open and inclusive and aware of the climate you and we all inhabit. Papa, President, proponent for progress. For me, you will forever be the mirror of true strength… in acceptance and humility and recognition of your surroundings. Your Trust in what Love means and how it affects the planet is everything.
